That is the tunnel portals for the new Scotland to Ireland road link. Boris ditched his plans for a bridge and work has started on a tunnel instead.

Very impressive .... I was almost exactly where the boat in the photo is just a couple of months ago and I wouldn't have been able to identify that particular lighthouse without a lot of Googling. Stoncica has been one of our favourite anchorage for 10 years now, although it's now a mooring buoy field which has rather spoiled the experience.
As for the caves, they look a bit like the entrance to Blue Grotto on the next island to Stoncica but I'm sure the entrance to the Blue Grotto is not so large and not related to the UK afaik.

not quite right. They are a couple of miles south west of the lighthouse. Those caves are the Green Caves allegedly used by the British in WWII to hide their torpedo boats, as here:

Ah yes. We've anchored in Budicovac, which is the next island to the Green Grotto, but we didn't visit because it's supposed to be a disappointment compared to the Blue version. Maybe we'll give them a go next time.

This one was "disappointment" for us: we sailed there, but local boats prevented us from getting in with our own dinghy (or even snorkelling, as some of us did), because they insisted we had to buy the "tickets".
We gave up, and sailed off at sunset:

I have to confess that I Googled it!
I have to confess that I wouldn't really know how to Google it. Unless you start with at least knowing it's in Croatia then how did you narrow it down?

Yes, that's the one. It's on Bisevo and we anchored in the bay immediately to the north overnight and then went around the headland at midday the next day in the dinghy, killed the motor and rowed into the cavern. I've a feeling that there was a Guy bobbing around in a dinghy and we had to pay but it was only 50p per person or something and it wasn't that crowded and you could stay inside as long as you wished. Some people were jumping in from their dinghies and going for a swim in the blue light.
However, this was probably 8 or 9 years ago and Croatia was much less crowded with boats then than it is now, so I can well believe that nowadays in July or August it's like a fairground. :ambivalence:

I have to confess that I wouldn't really know how to Google it. Unless you start with at least knowing it's in Croatia then how did you narrow it down?
I'm in the British Googling Team for the next Olympics.
