Can anyone vouch for this guy?:D

He lives extremely close to me and so would appear to be an option for servicing......

You get all kinds on here

No, lots of new brooms appearing as the recession bites. A testing time to start up a new business I would have thought but who knows there is only one way to find out if he's any good.

Well, Ross has done all my servicing/mechanical/electrical modifications over the last 4 years and I have to say I've never come across a more reliable, helpful and knowledgable bod. I've had some bad experiences in the past with some engineers (particularly some attached to marinas it seems) who have tried to pull the wool over by suggesting unneccessary work but Ross has never done that which is refreshing. He's a true 'engineer' who is capable of actual repairs when cost effective rather than the mere 'fitters' prevalent these days who won't even try to fix a part before swapping it out for a new unit.
He's also very tiny so can fit in some really small spaces. :)

Happy to answer any p.m's if you want to know more - and no we're not related - though there were times when I would have gladly had his children.

.

True! :D

Ross trained as an engineer with British Airways, so he knows where the "Golden Rivet" is on a Boeing 747. He has also been used as a pull-thru to clean the soot out of engines. As a lad he was sent to the stores for various useful items such as a "Long Weight (wait)" and "A capful of rivet burrs".

If you have flown on a BA aircraft chances are you have already benefitted from his expertise. ( and mine... Oooh errr!).

:D

Must be a trait. In all my years of boating the two very best engineers I've come across were ex-aircraft engineers, one commercial and one RAF.

Thanks for the heads-up as he's not far from me.
