Follow on the tracker.

Crewed, fully foiling, Ultim trimarans, round the world. Sodebo skippered by Thomas Coville. SVR Lazartigue by Francois Gabart. Gitana and Charles Caudrelier sitting this one out. After this summer's dismasting. With the next generation Gitana in build. No Banque Pop / Armel Le Cleac’h either. Not sure why.

Wonder how long it will take them to reel in the Vendee Globe IMOCA's?

They have a lot of twist in the sails. More than we ever run.
Do you reckon that would be speed / sea-state related @Chiara’s slave ? (They’re making 30 knots in the Indian Ocean). OR a set up which lets them consistently sail fully 'powered-up,' letting the leech twist off, as a safety valve?

Doing that would slow us down. I assume the foot of the sail is working, ie trimmed correctly. I think they must be on the point of tucking in another reef. We would be faster with the reef in. I’m just fascinated by the different technique, I have no doubt they're doing it right for the boat.
