I was there in the summer and saw them - amazing! The fact that there were hoardes of tourists there chucking them food probably accounts for why they don't go away. Mind you it was mostly fast food, so after a diet of Krispy Kreme Donuts they'll all be obese and have heart attacks within a year or so.
