We are intending to sail next summer to NW France. We are very anxiuous to be informed about save and secure anchorages in the area between Deauville and Brest included the Channel Isles. We do have on board a small semi-RIB and outboard engine.

You'll be spoilt for choice. I used to keep a boat in Camaret marina on the Crozon peninsula - a beautiful spot, very picturesque and safe - ideal for exploring the goulet de Brest. However, wherever you are in Brittany watch out for strong tides.
Bon voyage!

Try to get a copy of the Secret Anchorages of Brittany byPeter Cumberlidge. It's a 1992 book, so some of the locations have probably changed but it's a good start.

A wonderful but very large area to cruise in depth in just one summer.

With calm/gentle off shore winds there are literally hundreds of places to anchor safely during the day or overnight and pop ashore in the RIB. The coast and CI can be a bit rolly in any residual swell, but in calm settled conditions you can stop more or less anywhere the length of your your anchor warp permits.
From Brehat Westwards the rivers provide very safe stop overs if the swell and winds are contrary, I have favourite hole ups in the Lezardriuex, Treguier, in amid the rocks off Trebudern, the Morlaix area rivers etc.
Finally if it is settled do not forget around Ushant its self.
Use large scale French charts and enjoy, you will return I'm sure
