Anchor size and scope for small tender?

Well this is embarassing! I went to MSS in Port Solent to buy the 1.5KG grapnel and couldn't find one (out of stock and I hadn't realised the website had stock info...). While searching I found a 2.5kg danforth type (Sentinel) which looked perfect and less pointy in person so I bought that and 15m of rope. Yes I know you all suggested that, and yes, I know I was trying to ignore your advice :)

Just a comment on dinghy anchors . . .

Make sure it is secure (or on board the parent craft) when towing, as they can be an embarrassment if the dinghy flips. I carry a small grapnel for the GP 14 & another on a long painter for the rubber duck if I am likely to be ashore for a while & not sure if I will be back before the tide turns. Even if you carry above the tide line & invert the dink, a small anchor is useful to stop it blowing away or to discourage small kids from dragging the dink up & down the beach.
