Anchor Chum / Angel

I try to avoid anchoring in F6 & above - but it does happen. I have a bilge keeler & try to get in shallow if it is safe. With 100' out I could have up to 4-5x depth deployed, add the angel & it doesn't go "bar taut", even with waves & current. I seem to remember you have a much bigger boat than mine too which would be a significant factor.

I am about to have a full cockpit cover fitted, it will be interesting to see how the increased windage affects us at anchor.

I must admit being jealous of bilge keelers tucking up in nice shelter. Will probably get one as next boat when I've got the extended cruising bit out of my blood. Your covered cockpit will be worth it.....

Oh by the way, thanks for teaching me how to spell "taut"!!
