In theory, well under 1 Amp, but some transformers take a large initial surge when switched on.
Divide the output voltage by the mains voltage...12/220=0.054, & multiply the current out (10Amps) by this figure to find the mains current....so 10 * 0.054 = 0.54 Amps.
But real life electrics is never 100% efficient so add a bit on.
