I have had navionics on my phone since day 1 - initially free updates, then no updates and now it wont even load the original charts. I never use it on the boat but its tidal flow daya was useful for planning races at home.
Not the first time that Garmin have been heavy handed - the original map download was lifetime. But |I am not willing to waste time arguing with them. Is there another tidal flow source that is FOC? Or do I have to fall back on paper charts and diamonds?

I've got a Garmin GPSMap 78S handheld which I load with maps from openseamap extracted to Garmin format using bbbike.org and pop €10 a time into their PayPal account to help keep the service running.

Use as a back up, anchor alarm etc to installed Boating app on phone/tablet.
