Taking our 5m RIB down to a friend's house near Alicante for the Summer for a change.

Does anyone have any suggestions for slipways / where to launch from please?

Thanks.

Santa pola is about 12 miles south of Alicante. There is a slipway at the international marina in torrevieja about 20 miles south alicante

Thanks all for the above. Found the Santa Pola and El Campello slipways, and both looked good. Didn't manage to find the one at Torrevieja but will try again next time we go out there.

Hi Jacquie,
I to am looking at taking a 6m boat down to El Campello in the summer, did you enquire about the ramp there and how you go about using it and what is involved i.e cost, booking, parking and paperwork etc?

It is here on Google maps https://goo.gl/maps/el8ZG.

You enter the harbour area by road on Puerto Deportivo, and come in via the barriers and get a car park ticket. The machine to pay on the way out is located here as well (and it doesn't seem to cost much). Go left as you come through the barrier and follow the road.

There is car parking - not loads but around 30 spaces I'd say - but great that is by the slipway. Plenty of spaces were available when we visited last week. It is arranged such that you can park double length with the trailer still hitched up. You then pay in the blue coloured office by the parking area. It is €18.50 to launch, and if the office is closed you pay in the upstairs restaurant (I think that is what the lady said). You also get 50% off the parking. I think she also said if you buy 5 launches upfront you get one free.

Slipway is wide and has fresh water hose/tap. There is good turning / maneuvering area at the top for the car/trailer. There is mooring to tie the boat up while you sort out the car/trailer, etc...

All in all it looked good.

Just found the car park ticket - it was €2.30 and we were there about three hours looking around.

Also, they said nothing was needed re paperwork - just turn up and use it.

Hi,
Just thought i'd update this thread.
Been back from El Campello a week now. We had a great time there with the boat.
Just as you said the ramp is so wide that we would often get 2 aside launching - recovering at the same time.
There is a dinghy launching platform to the left with a rubber tipped nose to it and most days I would push the boat off the trailer and with someone standing on the platform pull it over on the rope and hold it there while I parked the car. This way we didn't bother with fenders or tieing up and the boat was facing the right way to just jump on board and drive straight out.
The marina office is upstairs next to the restaurant (just by the roundabout / entrance barriers) and they did require insurance and registration doc's. 5 days for 4 at E18.50/day and 50% off parking. Fuel is just next to the ramp and you can fill up on the trailer to avoid mucking around once launched and this was no dearer than the local petrol stations.
We found a lovely little bay at Coveta Fuma about one mile north where we could come into knee depth, anchor and play around with inflatables and wake boards. There is a small beach there with lifeguard and the usual yellow buoys to seperate the two areas, Absolutely ideal as we were on holiday with a very large group of friends and family so it gave everyone a chance to play. Nearly all the beaches in the area have yellow buoys 100m off shore.
The Police made regular checks and photographed boats that had drifted into the swim area so be warned!!
There are also 2 x beach restaurants here. (the blue one to the left had better food!) (the one at the top of the hill was ok though.)
Miss it already. :(
