Algae stains on spray hood

Try Vinagar, it works on most things and should not stain ( try it on your sail cover first, just in case )

Anyone any ideas how to remove green algae stains from a spray hood without removing the colour? I had it valeted which just made the stains look more obvious. I know bleach kills algae stains but it kills the colour too!

This is also major new problem with external domestic/shop awnings due to mild/wet winters.? I am in the trade and recommend " Jeyes Fluid" well diluted but do not know if it works. Also heard that " Patio cleaner" may also work.

Good luck

Jey's Fluid has devastating effects on things like algae, try it on a small spot first, but it kills anything in my greenhouse. Be warned! the spray hood may stink like a public loo for a time so take your pick!

Miltons is just sodium hypochloride with sodium chloride i.e. bleach and salt. Any supermarket bleach is just as pure, far stonger and a lot cheaper.

See my posting today about BioTex it should work on sprayhoods too, I am going to try it on mine. Then treat it with Renovo it should be good.
