Advice wanted, another 'what boat to buy?' thread

If you like the look of an Elan 333 but want a shorter mast you could look at an Elan 31.

I don't believe the 333 is that hard to manage. I know of one where the owner races her single-handed from time to time and I've no doubt you know how to trim the mainsail on a sporty boat to manage weather helm.

Still, recommendations to replace a Finngulf 33 must be one of the more challenging threads of this type.
 
No one recommending anything French yet?

Two good reasons:
(1) I am most definitely biased
(2) They rarely come on the market because the owners like to hang on to them.

I am talking, of course, about the Centurion 32, a beautiful design by Kim Holman and built by Henri Wauquiez at a time when boats were built up to a standard and not down to a price.
