I am on the lookout for an ACM 31 Elite. Main problem is that all the ones for sale seem to be in France, real problems in that. Getting there, getting back and Brexit and VAT. Anyone out there know of one that may be available or soon to be so in the UK

I sold mine to Orkney a few years ago, it was for sale again recently. There was one in NI a few years ago, a chap Andrews had it. Dont have any contact details for him but pm me and i can put you in touch with previous owner.

New to this site but I've been interested in these boats for a while.
You get a lot of nice looking well designed boat in the 31 considering the size and price. Particularly 2 proper bedrooms which none of the other inboard equivalents seem to offer for that length (Antares Series 9 and Jeanneau)
Like you say shame they are all in France and they never made much effort to sell them in the UK if at all.

We have an Antares 760 and I keep an eye out for them all the time for a trade up but they are super rare.

There is one on the East Coast, possibly at Woodbridge as it came in to one of the berths there very confidently, but it may have been a visitor.

Farmer is right, they are popular in France, I see them all the time (sorry for not adding anything useful to the conversation)

I think I know the one you bought. I saw it over there a while back when visiting from Guernsey.
Lovely boats.
One day maybe!
Quick question, do you know if they dry out ok on legs? I have seen a few with legs but the rudder skeg looks quite minimal to bear the weight of the hull (compared to Antares / Jeaneau etc)?
Thanks

Hi. The only way they can dry is on sturdy legs, mine are factory fitted. They cradle the boat. All that I have come across have them.

I'm hoping that an owner of one with twin engines turn up on this site. Mine is a twin engine and would like information on fuelling up. It's not straightforward!

Ah that makes sense if the ACM legs are made by original manufacturer. The ACM Elites I saw dried out with legs had them mounted right at the stern and must carry a fair bit of weight unless the skegs are much stronger than they look.
The usual Yachtleg type you see fitted on many boats are all fitted much further forward and rely on the rudder skegs or hull to support the majority of the weight of the boat and just stop you tipping over.

Hi Hera Jersey,

It looks as though the later posts of this thread have been deleted. I have sent you a PM, probably best to communicate that way.
