This months article on anchoring was good, however a couple of things could be added:
Under preparations, no mention is made of knowing the todal rise and fall and for example the rule of 12th. This estimated rise or fall still to go should already have been worked out before starting the whole process.
Scope of Chain: the article states 3 x depth. with this scope I oftern find problems with initial setting of my CQR. By initially putting out up to 5 x scope (all chain), I do not seem to have problems setting any more. I then pull back to 4 x scope on high tide.
