It would appear, from today's news, that Antarctic Explorer was better at this than Internet Explorer. Shackleton & Co used blackboards rather than computer screens when it came to penguins!!

On the subject of penguins - isn't that BBC time-waster with the ice-skating penguins the best ever? I love the one skating backwards left of centre.

Computer animation - its what my son-in-law does for a living. Just out of interest, about 10 secs on screen takes at least a week or more of animation time.

And here they are! Photograph from my Grandfather's photographs of the 1907 Shackleton Nimrod expedition. Evidently the penguins had definite views on what made good music! (You can just make out the masts of Nimrod in the background).
