A lot floating past this morning including a tree complete with roots (a lot bigger than it looks in the photo) setting off for warmer climes.

Some big tides recently, add a bit low pressure with a brisk Easterly and observed that our club pontoons have been something less than metre from top of our piling.
None of this has to date coincided with any floodwater coming down from the upper Medway catchment.

Some long tree trunks recently jammed on club pontoons, looking at them they had been in the water a long time and wondering if the recent really big tides had finally dislodged them.
A lack of those neatly sawn logs obviously cut with chainsaw , possibly due to clearing river banks far above the lock.
We do have a couple of folks who have woodburners happy to cut them up and remove, its getting them small enough to lift out of the water.
