I have been looking for ages for a nice princes 33.So when a customer came in the collect a radio from our workshop, the announcement that he had just bought a boat via a certain marina on the thames attracted my attention. It was a boat that I would not have considered due to the asking price. The boat was up for the around £42k and our customer had at first offered 37k subject to survey.Which the broker said was far to low. After the survey he offered £33k which was accepted .A good price for a Mk11 with d.....ls on shafts.Maybe should be looking a bit further up the price range and ignoring brokers advice on what offers would be acceptable.

You bid what you feel you want to pay, they can only say "no" . I sold my last boat at a ridiculously low price and was happy to do so. Once years ago I bid a silly price on a boat and weeks later they came back and said "yes" but by that time I was suited anyway.

Thats exactly what I did when I bought my last boat, went in above my price range with nothing to lose. I offered ten thousand below the asking price which then brought it into my price range, after a load of huffing and puffing from the broker and a phone call to the vendor it was accepted. As we all know the brokers like to keep the price up because it reflects on their commission.
