And living in the Midlands! But the point about Scousers (especially from my side of the river) is that we grow up on th ebeaches & in the water. The tides are in our blood. Brummies tend to think that all water is like the canals.

a slight off topic story.. remember it well... was part of a squadron from Conningsby 'on tour' in Valley in the 80's to give the Phantoms some target practice taking pot shots at the banners towed by Jindivik drones... happily ensconsed in to the local chippy, about 20 of us, when this local lad piles in shouting "English b&st%rds!!!!" and lamps the only welsh squady amongst us friendly place
