Showing 1049 for where I am on the south coast on Sunday night.

With standard pressure of 1013 and each millibar 1cm that's a loss of 36cms!

Shame it's not mega-springs, LW would be interesting

Steady at 1050 according to Chimet, not far off the UK record.

A foot off High Water could make life interesting for people who's boats are in places with a cill such as in Emsworth or Woodbridge

My paranoid barometer topped out at 30.66" yesterday evening. Dropping slowly, now at 30.64

Does anyone here suffer noticeably from the joint pain or headaches sometimes associated with exceptionally high pressure? I confess to some mild symptoms today but suspect that they're rather more likely to be due to shuffling round Boot for 2 days followed by the cheap gin in the Hugo Junkers lounge at Dusseldorf airport which I partook of while waiting for the flight home.

1053mb/31.1”hg on Isle of Wight this morning. Don’t remember ever seeing such a high pressure anywhere.

Was hoping that the skies would be clearer for a bit of star gazing.

Thinks ......... Another reason to go sailing. To escape the loom from the concrete jungles that sometimes
have to be frequented to obtain funds.

Is there anything better than lying in the cockpit laying flat out with a glass of port after dinner and studying the skies.
