My immediate thought on that question is this - it's really a rough guide to stop huge boats tying up to a mooring that isn't suitable.
I spotted that one too, but decided to steer clear as I'd never heard of them. Better to stick to my good old Seagull. It's older than me, and will probably outlast me to boot!
Where I live (Portaferry - N.Ireland) the owners of large yachts and cruisers get together and hire a crane to lift our boats onto our own trailers and then pay a local farmer to tow them to wherever we will be wintering them. Either our own yards or dry storage. I don't imagine it's terribly...
I'm planning to build a trailer for my 1984 jeanneau 36, and I'd appreciate any plans or ideas. I've visited a few boatyards and photographed different trailers, but haven't managed to find a jeanneau 36 on a trailer to get measurements from.
