    Dinghy/Tender For Sale

I am having a bit of a clearout around my boat trailer so this dinghy has to go. It is approximately 8ft long, fairly wide and a lowish freeboard. It is a bit tatty but is servicable and could do with a clean up over the winter. The oars are included. £75. ONO Collection only from Benfleet

    Welsh Yacth Clubs

Thank you for the replies so far, there is some food for thought there. I must admit, I had forgotten about Cardiff, but I do like the sounds of sailing off the west coast. A bit different to the Thames Estuary.

    Welsh Yacth Clubs

As a family, we are thinking of moving from South Essex to the Welsh Borders area, so I am doing a little research on yacth clubs. Does anybody currently travel from around the Ludlow area to eithe the Bristol Channel or the West Coast to sail? If so, are there any issues? Is it doable for a...

    Changes at the Deben Bar

Our first time was in a 24ft Snappy with a 1GM10. 30mins before HW and we were making 1/2 knot against the tide with full revs. Spent the previous night at Felixstowe Ferry listening to the roar of the water. Quite Intimidating!!

    Origo 1500 Single burner stove

Thanks to another member on here I have now managed to buy a double burner stove, so my single burner stove is surplus. Nice condition. There’s a little staining of the stainless and a few signs of wear but it all works as it should. The neoprene seal is tatty but should be fairly easy to...

    Moving to the Deben

Deben Yacht Club was very friendly and accommodating when we joined but we left a few years ago, so not sure about now. Would agree with the comments about day sailing or in some cases motoring. It is a very pretty river but the channel is narrow as we used to find when tacking up wind.

    Avon Redseal Inflatable dinghy

I have downsized my yacht so do not have room to store my inflatable. I believe it is a Avon Redseal (10ft 3in) long. It is old and used but holds air well. It comes with a homemade engine bracket, wooden thwart, inflatable seat, pump, original floorboards, and collapsible oars. Can be...
