Lofting lines wanted for oyster smack

I have built scale half hulls of a couple of classics but now want to do a Colchester oyster smack, similar to the extant Katie (CK 52 from memory). Can anyone suggest where I can download fairly accurate lines which I can use in the sandwich system of building down from bulwarks to keel plate...

    Black Shed Paglesham

Just logged in after many years. I remember the black shed there. My m & d took us mushrooming across the cow pastures in the very early 60's. Some other time they drove us out for an evening at the Plough and Sail; me with a fizzy orangeade in the garden with a packet of Smith's crisps with...

Wreck at Orford (Alde) - origin?

Downstream of the quay at Orford is a decaying, yet highly photogenic wreck, complete with samphire and weed growing happily within the hull. Possibly a one-time ferry serving the island during the war but perhaps someone knows more?

what would a 10 ton T.M. clinker sloop have looked like?

In the early sixties, winter time, I would ride my Triumph T110 bike from Thorpe Bay (Essex) to Creeksea to varnish the wooden boom and mast of a boat owned by one Ernie Turmaine, removal contractor, Southend. In return I sailed with him as crew most weekends in the summer. I cannot remember...

half hull modeller needs help expanding transom of Folkboat

Brilliant people. Thanks so much for the eye -opener. I've already made Slocum's Spray without a separate transom (paint covers everything!) and the American R-Class 'Pirate' the stern of which is as sharp as a pencil..... but European classics need greater care and respect. If it works...

Hi all. I haven't posted here for a long time since selling the boat and moving to Spain so hello again. I have recently built a number of dulcimers and cigar box guitars, too many - can't build any more. Active to want to do something else and my eyes have trembled seeing half hulls in...
