TOHATSU 3.5 2 stroke fitted with hose connector kit for mains flushing, forward/neutral gear, full dealer service after last use. Very low usage, spent most of the time idle stowed on the pushpit for rare use of tender. £250
I have taken the cones out and ground them, about 5 years ago, but I have the grease nipples fitted and grease every year with the same grease I use for the MAX Prop from Darglow. All seems to be well and probably being lazy due to the bother fiddling with the locking mechanism mentioned in...
The compass has been in situ for 15 years and in the 8 years we have had the boat not issues at all.
I have yet to calibrate after the adjustments I made but not yet had the opportunity.
I will empty the aft cabin of the bikes but these have also been in there for a few years and check wiring.
I have an aging Raymarine set up and the compass reading on the ST7000 Control unit is now showing a huge error, about 90 deg out in Standby before I attempted to correct using the Control Unit. However this has now got an error of approximately 40 deg. Before I start making more adjustments has...
Not had Wichard stays but having had both plastic coated round wire and Wichard style ones I would never fit round wire ones again, too easy for the wire to roll under foot.
Have successfully used Seajet antifoul for several years but since moving to Gosport this seems to be ineffective to stop very active growth of long beards growing along the water line. Any recommendation from the community who have boats in the harbour of alternative antifoul or is this a...
Have had sails laundered though sail makers several times but has anyone any experience of going direct to any sail cleaning company. If so any recommendations?
I have had both round wire and flat webbing, I did find the round wire more hazardous when on deck, however do appreciate the concerns of UV damage to webbing. I will however stick to webbing on replacement.
My compass, about 14 years old, has gone discoloured on the disc, sort of yellowish green colour. Is it possible to get these serviced, cleaned. Does not have air bubble and can only assume it is caused by the sun even though it is covered when not is use.
ST60 speed, and subsequently log, is under reading by approx 30%. Have attempted to calibrate, don't want to read SOG, have that on chartplotter, but unsucessful. When get to CAL state and press press either on the buttons to increase or decrease all I get is option of 0.1 or 0.01. Don't...
I had my tent for the 35 made by TEC SEW who are at Gosport. They have the template on a cad drawing if you are interested. Excellent product and they do the work in tne time given.
Managed to remove both intact and no damage. Made easier by having one person inside the boat pushing and rocking the unit to loosen it, and the other underneath using two scrapers to lever against the flange until they could get a grip on it. The prep was as recommended, to cut through and...
Need to remove both but would like to re-use them so any tips of getting them out without wrecking them. Don't know how they were seated in but assume mastic of some type was used. Would heating the area with a hair dryer to make the mastic substance more pliable help, for example.
