Whitlock steering compass repair

My compass, about 14 years old, has gone discoloured on the disc, sort of yellowish green colour. Is it possible to get these serviced, cleaned. Does not have air bubble and can only assume it is caused by the sun even though it is covered when not is use.

I had mine repaired by a chap in Southampton who advertises on the internet. Very helpful. Before you get it properly repaired go over the dome with Tcut. Mine looked discoloured and with polishing now looks new.

Think the guy in Soton was probably BPSC Marine. He repaired my hand bearing compass including a new tritium light for very reasonabe fee. Believe now in Eastleigh:
