Some years ago we were in Gibraltar and heard a boat calling, This is Fanny Magnet, Fanny Magnet, Fanny Magnet, over. A while later we were hit whilst at anchor in Tobago by, you've guessed it, Fanny Magnet!
We used their advice on setting up a trailed line, with shock absorbers(!), heavy duty breaking strain on line and steel leaders. It has worked a treat for twenty odd years and we have only lost a handful of fish in that time.
After reading this it piqued my interest so I rang Premier head office and asked the price at my marina. They refused to answer! Saying I had to call my own marina...odd. So I did and the answer is 42p per unit.... So are there different prices at different Premier marinas? I asked that question...
We have an an emergency antenna that we have deployed once in a time of need ( after a lightning strike). We mounted it on the boom and it worked perfectly well. after use it was tidied away and returned to the cupboard ready for the next time.....
