Shotblasing Keel

I have several deeply eroded areas (10-15mm deep x 50-75mm dia) in the keel of a Fulmar. I want to shotblast the keel, fill the holes and coat it with one of the approved keel priming products. Someone suggested "Simblast" but I can't find any reference to this company anywhere? Any suggestions...

pick the nits off this thesis!

I don't think chartering gives the same satisfaction as owning either but I can't quite follow some of the lines of argument here? I'm not sure what the relationship between resale value and mooring costs has to do with it though? If I have a boat worth £100k and mooring fees of £4k it costs me...

    East Head, Chichester Harbour

Yes lots of the East coast has gone but which harbour/river mouth sand and shingle longshore drift spits have gone? What you describe at the winner is the forerunner of East Head, it hasn't gone it has just changed and moved as the coast has retreated, it is now East Head as we know it. I have a...

    East Head, Chichester Harbour

The National Trust own East Head and as the land is "inalienable" it would take an act of parliament for the Conservancy to exercise its powers of compulsory purchase. The NT were given 70 acres in the 1960's, East Head is now over 140 acres, its not threatened its just changing - it always has...

Don't you just change the order of the reference points, I have trouble with mine all the time and find that changing the order usually sorts it.

Re: Oh yes they do! Thank you Andrew, I had no idea that SIRS had taken over the manufacture of thses beautiful instruments. I have mailed them for a new price on which I shall base my reserve (50%?). Peter I'm sorry but I had no intention of trying to sell through this forum cos that is...

    Sestrel Moore Compass

I've got a Sestrel Moore compass, lovely bit of old fashioned kit designed for steel boats or others with deviation problems. I am going to try to flog it on Ebay - they don't make them anymore so I can't price it - what do you think it's worth.

    attn children of the 50's

Re: Immune system defences I agree with your opening, my Grandma used to say you've got to eat a peck of dirt before you die (and not as a consequence!) but the idea of developing antibodies that will protect you from the powerful biocides in antifouling is interesting. I think you are much...

    april fool

Foolish Avril I'm amazed at the lack of response to this. I logged on just to pick up on what I thought would be a storm. All those early retirement plans up the spout. Or was it too crass and obvious for anyone to comment
