I have several deeply eroded areas (10-15mm deep x 50-75mm dia) in the keel of a Fulmar. I want to shotblast the keel, fill the holes and coat it with one of the approved keel priming products. Someone suggested "Simblast" but I can't find any reference to this company anywhere? Any suggestions as to what I misheared or any other advice appreciated.

I had the keel of my Etap shotblasted and galvanised in France a few years ago. Obviously you have to be able to remove the keel, but the result is a keel that looks the same now as it did 3 years ago!

PS I painted it with epoxy before anti-fouling and reassembly.

I did the whole hull (40ft) myself one weekend...really hard work but worth it....then put 11 coats of paint on it...

If you are interested i'll dig out the contact details....i was quoted nearly £2k but did it myself for £500 and spent the rest on paint
