    Sail and Cover, Woolverstone

Rarely post these days but felt moved to share my excellent experiences using the above company. No connection other than a satisfied customer. I have had two sail covers and a bespoke piece of canvas work made over the past couple of months. The process has been faultless. Great...

    Anyone lost an old ‘Gul?

You are lucky, I have had a dozen calls from the RSPB.

    Anyone lost an old ‘Gul?

Yep, difficult to guage at the filler. I fill it to the top then turn it upside down to drain a bit. I remember the WTF! moment when I first drained a gearbox of it’s sludge!

    Anyone lost an old ‘Gul?

Thanks for the offer Grandad. He has bonded with us. Off the 10:1 breast oil now and happy with 25:1. Major investment of a new spark plug and gearbox oil means he is likely to stay. Young Yamaha 2.5 looking very nervous, particularly as his card refurb doesn’t seem to have made much difference...

Levington to Brightlingsea in one and a half Hours

Interesting. After two years away, I visited this board for info about the Wherstead Road closure. I got all I needed thank you. I inadvertantly strayed on to this thread - bad move. Logging out now.

    Malta

If you are in the mood, take the bus from Mgarr to Gharb and visit the ta' Pinu church. It is the one with all kinds of relics and donations from those who claim to have been healed through the power of prayer. A bit spooky, but interesting. One if the things we enjoyed was being on Gozo over...

    Malta

Nothing more to add to Vics comprehensive guide. Makes me wish I was there! Only to say that I am sure it gets busy in season but I can't recall sharing an anchorage in winter with more than one other boat. Also, if you spend any time in Mgarr be aware of the swell from the Gregale; it can be...

    Malta

That is exactly what we said we would do if we ever wintered there again. Just keep a good eye on the weather and you can always find a bay in the Lee of the land. I can think of three bays within about 30 minutes from Mgarr on Gozo which provide shelter from three quarters and another one from...
