    DOLPHIN 31s

I sailed on Zipper in 1986, she was owned by a Sailing School in Dartmouth. Red hull. I can remember a fantastic night sailing back from Salcomb to Dartmouth in a fresh breeze and being sent to the foredeck to drop Genoa and hoist a working jib in a lumpy sea......very wet leg!

Has anyone tried this type spanner?

Used that exact spanner. ... 20 beer tokens from Tool Station in UK.....to tighten the nuts on 1.5 inch skin fittings. Excellent, strong and not your usual wobbly adjustable and the short reach was perfect under the heads sink.

Too late now but for future reference ASAP Supplies do an extra flexible, sanitation grade hose that makes the job a doddle. Expensive but worth it

Jeannea Sun Odysssey 32 Fresh water leak

Defoe calorific R drain. There is also a small pipe in that area that leads the pressure relief run off into the bilge. Worth diverting overboard to avoid another source of water in the bilge. You might also note that if you remove the drain plug from the fridge base then that will also drain...

Looking at used Hurley 22, would appreciate current owners opinion

I had a hurley 22 back in the eighties. My set head fitting suffered a crak identical to the one in your photo. Had it welded up at Dartmouth Naval College and was good for many years thereafter. These boats are pretty solid and most issues are easily fixed if you are prepared to have a go. The...

Ideal Round Britain yacht for singlehander...

I would suggest that the correct boat is the one you already have! The important aspect is actually the sailing and ports that you visit not what you are sailing in. In a summer you will expect to lose sailing time for bad weather what defines bad weather is your skill level and personal...

Volvo MD 2010 sudden power reduction

Had identical issue a few years ago. Fine for 20 minutes or so the revs would waver for a few seconds then drop off and hold steady at 1500 or so. Switch off and wait half an hour and all fine for another 20 minutes then it happened again. Clump of diesel bug in tank being drawn on to filter on...
