I did the scenic route.... again

Still, at least you are ahead of my 10 year old son - even though he was 2nd for quite a while (yes he has had a birthday in the last few days):D

Have come to the following conclusions:

This game is all a matter of chance. As in life, the weather never plays ball.

Certain boats have bigger sails. They make seemingly barking decisions in a race, and still get ahead of you - every race.

Getting to the end quickly, and during daytime leaves you with more time for real life. It is as good a motivation as any for a fast passage.

When does it all end? This game is too addictive!

Finished (at last)!!!

Just a mile and half in front of fellow forumite Jolini (well done!)...

Who's stupid idea was it to finish the race at this un-godly hour??? :D

Thanks for hitting the hard stuff as I was catching you up!
You spoilt it by getting going again just as was thinking I would pass you!
Still, 9 mins apart after all those miles ain`t bad. Well done, I`ll try to get you on the next leg.

I was 'had' by the TWA1.01 course change twice in this leg.. a aargh...

If you didn't see what that was - The new Beta client sent a TWA1.01 followed by a cancel (in the background) each time you did a refresh, in order to time sync your PC display with the SOL server.. Since I was on 3G connection for the whole race it seems like some of my cancels didn't get through. Twice I woke up, logged in and found myself doing about .03 knts in totally the wrong direction.. aaargh

All sorted now apparently..

I'll be after a better place in the next leg :)
