Zebo on prop

bronze prop; Tried just polishing last year and the results were not too good.
I dont want to open this topic again but I have seen good reports on Zebo ( the grate blackener) This used to be lead based but I think its modern equivalents are graphite based. I also just read that success has been had with black marker pen!!
Without straying from the black stuff idea has anyone had success with lead, grahite or ( even) marker pens!

I did the same, but the antifouling came off within a couple of hours of prop spin, despite there being a number of coats. Had quite a few barnacles when we came out for he winter, ut nothing that couldn't be shifted easily.

Some folk have had success with propshield. I'd love to hear whether it's any good.

I've used propshield for two seasons (SW coast). It does work for so long, but then seems to just wear off and back come the barni's. Lasts about 4 or 5 months for us, if its applied painstakingly. The application though is key. It stays on FAR better if you warm the prop and paint on more thinner coats (no surprise I spose). This year I am trying one prop with propshield and the other with primed prop o drev to compare what happens.

Thanks guys. Must read up on this 'nobility' issue, wouldnt want the prop to disapear completly.
The logical side of me suggests a good primer and a hard antifoul that can stand the props spin. Big variation in reports of using lanoline, I wonder if the important thing there was to bake it on?

I've used the pink lanolin stuff for a couple of seasons and it delayed/slowed down fouling. My technique was to lay it on cheap turkey roasting tray and put in oven (when memsahb was out) then paint the stuff on. Concluded by putting lanolin pot in hot water and painting final coats onto cold prop. I felt I'd done the best I could and so felt quite virtuous.
I tried ordinary antifoul one year. Dunno how long it lasted as didn't dive to find out but end of season fouling showed it wasn't long.
I've heard of owners using epoxy primers then hard antifoul.

I usually put a coat or two of the same antifouling I use for the boot top. International trilux I think it is. Seems to work reasonably well.
