This is literally on my doorstep.
Two hours sail from my mooring.
I regularly sail there just to have lunch.

And why wouldn't you ? Glorious.

It hardly falls within the definition of UK destinations mind you....

Belle Ile maybe, if you really want to stretch a point, (on the basis that the British occupied it for a couple of years in the 7 years war, before swapping it for Menorca). Les Iles des Glénan ? Don't think so.

So many places, all with such good memories that make them special. Outside Newtown creek for a lovely summer swim, Weymouth on a Saturday evening, just pick the pub with the best live band, Alderney with that beach, Saturday nights at The Folly, that first sail past the needles. Anchoring in Studland (that might only be a memory soon), the Beaulieu River, a beautiful moonlight sail across the Eastern solent. Even Torquay where we were escorted in by Dolphins. I am so glad I learned to sail.

No one has mentioned anywhere in Wales yet but Pilots Cove on Anglesey is a beautiful spot, especially if you’ve rock dodged through the Swellies and sand dodged over Caernarfon Bar to get there.

The inner Hebrides takes some beating if you get there before the midges. That little beach on the north end of Gigha?

Currently working our way south from our normal North Wales cruising ground.
We have so far experienced the second best beach bar in the world, Porth Dinllaen, Lower town Fishguard storm bound 1 week, yesterday tramped through Ramsey sound and Jack sound into Neyland. Breaking for a day here before meeting up with others.Padstow tomorrow in convoy.
Destination IOS for a friend's wedding early June. Its been a blast so far. It looks like the weather gods are now being kinder....
My favourite anchorage remains the Skerries Lighthouse lagoon off the NW tip of Angelsey.

Care to share some pilotage info? This is the best my chart-package can muster....

Sorry but I don't think anyone should try this one without a local pilot the first time.
Others may disagree but the proof to me was someone going in the day after I had taken three other boats in and sitting his bilge keeler on a rock in the wrong entrance.
There is a hefty mooring in the lagoon suitable for star rafting quite a number of boats.
Tide timing and recognition of a single very narrow entrance channel with an immediate 90 degree turn on the western side is critical.
I can pm some aerial photos when back home.
