Especially if done as a group……with all its benifitsBuilding new muscadets is not such a crazy idea. It is a very popular boat in France, providing excellent fairly low cost class racing. Class rules are framed to exclude exotic sails etc to keep it cheap, and the National Championship gets fleets of 50-80 boats. Some of the regulars in my pub are keen muscadet racers.
