Very reliable - the 420 is basically a Toyota Landcruiser engine. I had the 4 cylinder 370 sti and it was fantastic. Knocks spots off VP and Merc. When teamed up with the Yamaha sterndrive you have an unbeatable package.

great package, however if used in sports boats there is a mod to the engine mounts that is advisable as when bouncing around in rough seas the engine mounts have been known to crack on the block. Usually this is because of movement in the engine mounts as they get older. its a simple fix, basically there is a tie bar you can have made to tie the mounts together to stop the flexing
