I have a SO36i and the ONLY think I don't like is the throttle position. Whilst I am now used to it, I still don't understand whilst everything else on the boat is designed to be as easy as possible (single line reefing etc) they don't extend that to the throttle. At the Boat show last week the dealer was trying to defend with lots of excuses and then finally agreed with me 
- yes it is a bad piece of design based mainly on cost.
I have been told it can be moved so I'd push the dealer into making it part of the deal - good luck
