I last I'm facing the prospect of having to repaint Fairweather's superstructure, and in all probability her hull also within the next few years,
The deck and superstructure I will do myself, and will almost certainly paint with roller/brush/paintpad. I plan to remove as much of the deck gear as possible without removing items that will require the head linings to be taken out. Whilst all these bits are off, I'll have many of them rechromed.
The hull will have to be profesionally done, but has been sprayed before, I'm wondering if this is likely to cause complications?
Has anyone any experiences to share with regards to this whole task?
Also has anyone ever investigated taking there boat to somewhere like Poland to have this sort of work carried out ? A gliding friend of mine was telling that quite a few years back glider owners were taking there composite wings out there to be resurfaced, I also understand that they have quite advanced GRP yacht related industries.
