I saw it motoring up through the northern channel past Kassiopi mid August but by the end of our holiday it was parked up where you see it now.

We saw her yesterday from the water as we motored around, and we saw her from Corfu town today.

My wife and I both agree that she looks incredible. I’m not so sure that she retains any of the traditional yachting aesthetic cues but she sits against the landscape like a piece of modern art - like the Guggenheim at Bilbao.

We saw her in the Balearics a few times last year and she similarly stood out from the super yacht crowd.

On the other hand, the six cruise ships in the port today all look fairly ugly and mostly fairly garish.

Capnsensible said that everyone has their own opinion and I guess the owner and the designer anticipated that such a design could divide opinion.

Has it ever been seen actually sailing? There are a (surprisingly) few pics of it with 'sails hoisted', but none look like it is sailing as such.

Richard Shead posted some pics of the sails unfurled a while ago. I agree about beauty being in the eye of the beholder, it's not for me but the proposition is academic.

Not for me either - my first thought that there are a few sister ships parked at Southampton docks most days, unloading cars.
