No Brownie points yet but some sympathy points which I shall spend tonight (pub night with mates). Just had an hour in the dentist's chair whilst he built a tooth from scratch from some compound that was bonded to the adjoining tooth. No pain but pretty unpleasant with a rubber dam across teeth to keep it all dry and then grinding it to shape and fit. Yuk - but no longer Mr Gappy /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

collected quite a few today when i got out the ironing board and the iron.

Had them all confiscated including those carried over when i proceeded to iron on new mahogany edging to the gally doors then varnish them in the dining room

Ho Hum such is life

Don't believe it. It tasted exactly the same to me. I tried one in a proper Dublin pub and also one in the bar at the top of the Guinness Factory. I'm afraid they both were as bad as a pint of the stuff in a London pub.
 
Ah, but if we're talking London pubs I've never found one where anything tastes the way it's supposed to. No idea what they do, but I wish they wouldn't do it
 
Tragedy strikes our Household.

I have been looking forward to this wondrous event for ages, but I have been tangled with attending to Family.
Mum is coming to live with us this weekend for at least a month, and Mother in Law is also coming to us on the Saturday. Drat, double drat.

Lynn has given me a stern look so no getting out of this one I am afraid.

I might come and hoot at you across the water in North Fambridge if I can creep out for a pint of milk of magnesia or somnething

Pity your not available looks like there wont be many but plan is still the be there, perhaps we can have a re run sometime before easter

hope you enjoy your time with the mothers, went back to belfast for 4 days at the begining of the month to do the family duties and while its great to see them its nice to get away again.

Think we have been away too long 20 years since we moved to Essex
 
For those that may be able to escape the grip of Xmas I wll be on the hammer head at Fambridge from lunchtime onwards should anyone want to drop by for a tipple, planning to have the BBQ 3.30 ish looks like will be ourselves and Mr and Mrs Moodysabre poss another cpl but not confirmed.
 
It looks as if we can make it. I have some very suspect arrack given me by a well-meaning Sri Lankan, which I've never had the nerve to try!

Well that was the coldest BBQ I've ever been to! 3deg on arrival - 1 deg on departure. Can't think why they want to go and live in Cyprus

Nonetheless after some welcome gluwein on the peaceful pontoon a very nice meal was enjoyed by the MSs with the Artemi in their cosy cabin. Thanks Janey and Nev - got rid of those germs and a happy new year.
 
Sorry we didn't make it. Events conspired, as they are wont to do!

I hope we can make it a Christmas tradition - and manage to get there next time.
