Xmas- Baa humbug, well no not exactly, but I can't stand the agro, Ex mrs , her family, mine ,rows etc, sound familiar ???? So i've decided to sail instead. I'm looking for other like minded people, poss cruise the East coast, maybe cross to France. Nice charter yacht fully kitted out , central heating, hot water ,NO XMAS TREE !!!!!!
Costs look like abt £75 day incl food, so less than your average Xmas dinner in the local !!! Boarding Xmas Eve, returning 27-28th.
Surely I can't be the only person that wants to escape over Xmas, can I ?????

Re: boring insurance

hi there. Sounds a good idea, tho i am elsewhere.

Um, just a thought, if you split a kitty, i think that's fine, tho if you charge a daily rate (even a very low daily rate) including food then you are a commercial vessel, and need to be insured and licenced, no ?

Re: oh, I see - like this then?

I've got this boat, berths for four people, pretty much brand spanking new and all perfect, but the fact is - it's just no good for me and my family who can't all squish into it, and SWMBO has suddenly decided she doesn't like white hulls. So, perhaps reluctantly, I've decided to sell it. A great pity but there it is - no point in keeping it when real boats and boaters should be out sailing! Is this of interest to anyone? If so please contact me:

Re: XMAS Driving

I've a car I wish to hire out over Xmas, will be staying in getting plastered so its no use to me. Ford Anglia, 10 careful owners, acclerator a bit sticky, heating works and lots of sweets under the back seat ... £75 per day, bargain at the price.
