Just one other thing to check, ensure the syphon break on the cooling water is working and not gunged up with salt/dust/spiders.

Jesus you know your boat yards lol Yep at the moment all is well. They have a good boatyard down there to do some work on it before. I had some amazing experiences with other brokers. One showing stock photo's not the real boat, another offering a boat £1000 cheaper if I dont get a survey....as if. These guys seem great.

Yep it has a Garmin auto helm. I'm going to pop out with a friend and try and get more practical in and see how confident i feel. ie spend a day out with someone just observing. But ideally I'd like to chill out on my own and allow loads of time.

About 500NM as direct route, without diverting into marinas.
