Best evening in ages. Left work at 5pm then went to Marks and got some salad bread cakes etc etc and then went to boat. Invited brother out who was on time for a change so went behind Herm where it was flat as a pancake. Launched and tied up dinghy and put swimmers on, bro put on wet suit cos hes a wimp /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Went for first swim of the year, bit chilly but still kept jumping in and out as the sun was hot and the swim was refreshing.

Simon comes around in his s28 with a big for sale sign on it and his new born baby son and wife in the back and moors nearby. We then stop and eat our fill and then about 8pm head back for the marina. I put my son to bed when we get home and decide there is enough time to go fishing up the reservoir.

Get to the reservoir to see everyone packing up and going home empty handed but I have a lucky feeling. 15mins after they are gone I am reeling in (or was he reeling me in) a very lively 4lb rainbow trout. The perfect end to a perfect evening.

Hey! we were out as well, must have missed you. We anchored up off Herm harbour and went ashore for a pub meal. It was my first time out on my own to Herm so I was bit nervous about leaving the boat on the anchor but all was well, and I managed to eat my meal only checking the boat about 20 times!

We then went around to Belvoir/Shell before heading back, getting in about 8:45, glorious sunset SWMBO even said that she could get used to it, which is a GOOD THING! she's not good with water and boats etc.

as you say perfect end to the day.
