Worst possible thing to say..

You did remember that was a drying wall? Oh........ it's just I'd have waited for the tide to come in.

No, you're probably right, if we keep the companionway closed, she'll probably refloat.

um yeah ... i do my tesco shop on the internet; just point and click, saves having to write it all down ...

Before a long distance trip:

- Why aren't we moving?

- Did you pick up our passports from customs?

- My rash is back

- We don't need toilet paper for the next month do we?

- I've given up smoking but it won't affect my temper

- Sorry skip, I did ask her to leave the boat before we departed

Perhaps not the worst thing, even maybe the best - based on actual.

A friend was skippering a large yacht in a 2 day coastal race and I was helping them prepare and get out of the dock for the start. As I was taking their mooring lines shoreside as they backed out the guy pumping the water tanks down to lighten ship (who was the owner /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) announced "Er, Skip, I just accidentally pumped all of our water overboard. None left".

There was no time to get more on board before the start so they spent the next 2 days with only the celebratory alcohol to drink. Was a "happy" race but the real moral is that they won.
