Did anybody ever know a boat called 'Scud'?

We found an anchor so-named on an Isle of Wight beach, more than thirty years ago.

It wouldn't have been a big boat. And it wasn't SCOD, definitely Scud.

Not a yachty name, but a big ship, outfit in Singapore, Titan Oil named their tankers after planets, so there was Titan Venus, Titan Neptune etc.
Now, what was the name of the 7th planet.
You would have thought someone in that company would have had the good sense to see that name was just not on.

i wondered where Ding Dong had gone. The owners I think now own a boat called Booty complete with a picture of a chick slapping her bottom.

Ding Dong...A Stewart 37 in Lymington. The full name is 'Oh I say, Ding Dong'
Brilliant name. V quick boat.

There is a motor boat locally called 'Phimosis'. Suffice to say that it is a medical term and it is hard to imagine why anyone would choose it as a boat name!!

Probably what it says on the owner's incapacity benefit claim that gives him time to go sailing!

Sometimes the unsaid is the essence of humour?

True. Apologies. Photos appear so late on my laptop, it was a full five mins before I got the joke. In fact I had to Google the names of the planets. Then I nearly vomited, laughing. So I thought I'd prevent any chance of anyone else missing the fun. I misquoted Bette Davis quite badly, too.:eek:
