Worst boat name of the year

I certainly don't understand some of the choices.

- Chancer - Not the name you want to see on the back of a boat manoeuvring near you in the marina in strong winds
- Bravado - on a large Bavaria, possibly charter boat. Is Bravado not a bit of a dangerous message for charterers (or indeed owners) ?

Also there seem to be a lot of boats which seem to want to attract the sort of weather we try to avoid ....
- Storm Dancer
- Storm Chaser. And many more in that style

But perhaps the worst boat name must go back in history. Who thought HMS Terror was a good name for an Artic explorer ship, which was lost with all hands

It seemed so clever at the time. We named ours 'Josepheline', (the previous one was called 'JoXephine of Hong Kong') - indicating the name of the owner; no-one understood it, no-one can pronounce it and its devil to spell phonetically.

We learn by our mistakes.

Not actually this year, but has to be a contender?

Having seen the boat sailing, the name is an apt description.

One of the better names that I've come across was 'Krow'. The owner's explained that it is the opposite of 'work'

Sorry, I can go several hundred better. Deep breath:

Apostrophe and spelling rage: initated.

Four whats? What is a 'ladie'? And what is that tragic apostrophe doing? I feel so sad for it. Why is it being so abused? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? I AM SO CONFUSED. AND ANGRY. BUT MOSTLY CONFUSED.

+1 ignorant grammar is fine but ignorant grammar when you're trying to be funny on a boat name in 12" high letters is just tragic.
