Wooden oar joints - where to source?

I'm doing some refurb work on our Tinker Tramp tender over winter, and managed to break the 30 yr old brittle plastic joints for the two piece oars.
Any clues where I may source a pair of new joints, as per the picture? Google has not been very helpful.
The oars themselves are 40 mm diameter.

Duckworks. The below are for kayak paddles, but they sell others for oars. Not cheap, but first quality.

There is a Tinker Owners association who may be able to help. I would probably go with aluminium tube

If you get a 38 mm stainless nipple you will find that the I/D is close to 40 mm, and you can join the oars together. You could also screw then together using a stainless-steel socket in the 2 nipples

You could try stainless exhaust suppliers. They will have those sort of sizes and may be able flare the tube to make a joint. They are used to manufacturing one offs for sports cars and specials and will have all the required tooling.

I have a pair of Narwhal Dinghy oars with stainless tube joints ... that the spring loaded locking balls have failed in ... basically the springs corroded and fell apart.

What to do ? Source new springs from Autoparts shop ... or just discard the balls and use self tapper screws .. making the oars more fixed but still able to be dismantled.

I too have a set of wooden jointed oars, last remains of a dinghy that died (Narwhal I think ) I doubt I will ever use them but too good to throw away. I would be glad if they went to a good home if any good to you. Only issue might be that I live in Ipswich. Cannot give more detail now as they are on the boat.

Buy a bag of the push-button things on Amazon. Peanuts and handy for the occasional project.

The type used on Avon dinghies are excellent. I lengthened mine, and the tapered plastic joints are coping well. There must be some, lurking in someone's garage.
