Yesterday I volunteered on this forum to go and pass a message to a chap called Robin on a boat in Lagos Marina.

After I had done this, I received a PM from Witchway via the forum saying "Robin wants to get in touch with you - please call him on the following number or email him on his email address".

Firstly the phone number (a portuguese one) was unobtainable. I have no idea about the email address but I sent a short email.

Later on I was back down at the Marina and saw Robin. I asked him what he wanted, and his reply was that he knew nothing at all about any of it and he had not asked to contact me.

All of which is somewhat odd.

The only thing that Witchway has learned is my email address (assuming the email address given was one of his?) which is no great secret anyway - its printed on my business cards and has been for years.

However, I pass this onto the rest of the forum just in case Witchway plays similar pranks on someone else!

I have to agree with the Rum man on this , it does seem a trifle odd that you got the message so maybe it enforces the comments from others about not releasing your e mail
Mine is easy to find , but so is my dog
