I won't name it - over here its bad luck to talk before result ...

It will be drive down to Ferry ... overnight ferry ... seller meets us and off to the boat ...

If its as good as he says - then we agree deal ...

Myself and two pals will then sail her back .... 2 day trip if no stops / problems ...

Whichever boat - this one or another will stay seaward side of the bridges giving me immediate access to Baltic and my existing boat will basically stay as River Cruiser other side of bridges ... wide, deep river with nigh on 40kms to play in ... with islands to nose up onto etc. So she'll be good.

Good luck…..what model boat is it?

Y'all just have to wait it out to find out !! AND I bet half of y'all have never heard of one !! But y'all be scrabbling to Youtube to 'review' !!

All I'll say -
The Nauticat 33 was a disaster - see my other thread.

The Halberg Rassy 31 Monsun - very nice boat - but needs additional electronics - even basic stuff - to bring her up ... been literally unused for 15+ years.

The boat I am going to check out - is fully kitted out and is in regular use ... ;)

C'mon ... never listened to a southern yank ??

You all .... becomes y'all .............

Just thought I'd bring a touch of humour to the thread !
I've listened to many people struggling with English as a second language. I applaud them all but that doesn't mean I'm going to adopt their pidgin!
:)
I thought you were giving clues to your prospective new yacht.

Clues ?? No mate ...

I think you can imagine - I am sitting here prickly with anticipation ..... like many - you are half sold already before you see the boat !! So I thought a bit of light-hearted banter instead of some of the serious stuff on other threads.

If I was to give clues .... mmmmmm

Prototype designed / built by famous designer. Intention to showcase in UK - but boat never made it to UK .... not boats fault .....
Design was handed to a yard in Sweden who later sold on the design to another yard .... total built : 100. :)

You guys are a gas !!

Boat is afloat and in use. There will a thorough going over before leaving berth - IF I decide to buy ... nothings agreed yet .... I will be staying on board as money clears bank to bank ... seller will not let her go before.

If anythings wrong .... its a short walk to Ferry home ...

Last 3 days - we've had a hoolie here ..... sitting at desk yesterday - branch snapped of tree and hit house - I thought a bomb had dropped.

I've been 'arguing' with local council to allow me to cut back trees as I have a lot of dead / damaged boughs that need cutting out.

Friday winds die down and I have a weather window till Tuesday late evening ..... so 🤞 all goes to plan (!) and I can get away to have a clear run home.

Then I have my other boat completed works in yard ... that will need sailing back next weather window.

Its all go !!

We been in Kalundborg for a week now and it's not stop blowing hard , this morrow at 0700 we took out chance and moved to the sailing club marina away from the town marina where there been a lot of snatching on our lines ,
No sooner we got in between the mooring post and got our line on them and before the stern lines where on all Hell let losses, wind hit 30 kts rain lash down.
We looked like two drown rats .

I hope it wasn’t as bad as when we arrived in Cuxhaven and the HM took one look at my wife and burst into laughter. Either way, I hope you lot get some better weather and rf gets his boat.
