Do you get what you pay for in the world of wiper motors as Ive seen prices from about £35 upto double that . The cheaper ones (XM YT920) do look rather like my old busted ones but is there anything else I should consider?

Thanks

Nick

The vv.cheapy that was OE on our boat struggles to move the blade when the screen's dry..........same arm/blade fitted to a friends boat with non-brand name model motor, similar to vetus/roca etc moves effortlessly: so I wouldn't buy the very cheapest (6mm shaft) ones.

Hi Nick If your wiper motors are the round ones about 4 inches long with the gearbox on the end then the earlier ones had no two speed and no self park but nowadays they all seem to have those facilities. The prices vary as the suppliers dont manufacture them and a few of the suppliers apply sensible mark ups but the most publicised one doesnt, so you can pay 30 to 90+ pounds for the same item it seems.
