Any ideas where I can get a decent drain hole cover please. We have a hole in the fixed part of a sliding window that is letting spray into saloon. The ones supplied are not the best. The hole is shape in picture 1. In second picture is a type on a Sealine next to our boat, which I think would be ok, but cannot find any where on internet.Thanks. Neil

The Sealine will be fitted with windows made by Trendmarine

Thanks for that Martyn. My window is also by Trend but they have told me that the only cover they do is the one supplied/manufactured as a one off for us as normally they don't fit covers. The one I have been sent is open at both ends. The one on the Sealine looks more suitable/streamline and only open at aft end.

I just got those exact ones from trend for my fairline. I did have to slight cut down the plastic dowel pins with a stainly knife. I might have a couple left. How many do you need?

Sorry, just looked at your picture again. I have the one open at one end but under there is a large opening and 2 smaller locating hole at each end.

It doesnt look lile yours has those locating holes so might not work. You are are still welcome to whatever i have spare to see if you can butcher it should you be unable to find anything better.

Thanks for offer Farsco. If I don't have any luck I will get back to you. No holes for pins on my window, so need something to fit in weep hole, and sikoflex it in place.

Sounds like the sort of thing that might be sitting on a shelf somewhere but not necessarily listed on a website.

Perhaps try Brian Wards - I think they supply bits for Brooms and they the same sort of drain covers in the windows

Or try seabridge marine as they may have old Sealine stock that is not listed on their website

.

Thanks Martyn. I will give them a try.

No problem. I must stop writing posts on my phone. My spelling and grammar appears shocking :)

Those covers in your picture above are supplied by Trend, not sure if they still keep them but have bought from them a few years ago.

Thanks Boat 2016. I did email them but got no reply. I then rang and they said they didn't fit drain covers on their windows. Possibly a bit of crossed wires on my part. I will try again, maybe try a different person!

Speak to Steve Fiske. He was extremely helpful and knew exactly what I was after. Pretty good for a product made 28 years previously. Then he told me the windows locks are from a Citroen 2CV!!

I remember those Citroen window locks well, when Citroen stopped making the black plastic version Trend had a stainless one made as so many boats relied on them, the price went up but at least they lasted.

I think I have found some from France (not surprising) for 15 euros. I just can't justify £45 for the shiny ones!!
