Wind prediction sites for the Med?

This has probably been covered before many times, but does anyone know of a good website that gives surface wind forecasts in a similar format to Poseidon but for the rest of the Med?
Theyr used to do this, but this is now a chargeable sevice.

Look under europe - Covers entire Med and is free.

Otherwise https://www.windguru.cz This site is free. Though its well worth spending the 15 euros for a year subscription to upgrade to the pro access. You can then downlad the weather maps.

Try http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/luqa for central med. You can work back through the site for other areas. It is usually uncannily accurate.

You'll go a long way to beat poseidon or windguru.cz

The latter has an unbeatable one page graphic forecast, the former is the best scientific met site for the E Med.

If you have a laptop and internet onboard then try using GRIB files and ViewFax (free GFS wind to 8 days ahead). Check out my weather site for info. www.stronge.org.uk otherwise the Global GMDSS text forecasts are great or windfinder which is like viewing the GRIB files online.
